I graduated high school when the catalogs started so I always thought I was too old for the stuff in them; but with this iteration I am JUUUUUST right (why do I still need a bigger paycheck tho?)

I loved dELiA*s catalogs growing up, and i think you just discovered the missing link between my childhood nostalgia and funky interior style today. Those NOnSEnSe pHRaSeS are everything!

this unlocked some core memories of my preteen and teenage room. Namely, a light blue inflatable chair.

I used to listen to my “now that’s what I call music” and flip through dELiA*s on my bedroom floor https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6ZxJqyN3x15lzymJW4Q62I?si=qwQoajugQIus0VamLCGXUA&pi=u-VKSnBqX2TA-F

The nostalgia!! Very fun. This must have taken ages. Gosh, I probably wore delia's for far too long. Definitely in middle school (96-98 omg) but I remember having a silly graphics tee as a freshman in college because a brick and mortar delia's opened in our local mall. It said "Choose a Natural High" with a flying kite. Ha! In high school-00s I was also obsessed with Urban Outfitters. Remember the UO Sampler? I can still hear some of the songs I loved so much but can never find. My Friend - Michal (which I remember the title being "Cornflakes" on the cd) and a song about a Russian lover who "turns off "when the singer "turns on." Can never find it!

I don't remember every choosing any delia's decor but I was geriatric looking platforms or Rocket Dog flip flops , butterfly clips, seashell chokers, low rise flares, and stripes all the way! Our millennial love of chunky interiors def has to be due to growing up in the 80s-90s. <3

those bonbon shades have been on my dream list for years, now I understand the impulse despite the fact that they go with nothing else I own - they match the inflatable purple armchair I had and constantly deflated as a child 🫠 perfect roundup!!

This was such a fun trip down memory lane. My childhood was full of catalogs, American Girl, delia*s, Alloy, Girlfriends LA, Moxie Girl, Just Nikki, they all had my address!
